Tech major, Apple seems to have slashed the price of the popular iPhone SE in India as the 16GB model of the smartphone is now reportedly available at the price of Rs 19,999. Meanwhile, under new rates, the 64GB variant of iPhone SE is available for only Rs 25,999. Under the new offer, consumers are being offered Rs 5,000 as cashback when the iPhone SE is purchased using a bank debit or credit card.
The new cashback deal on the iPhone SE was initially available on March 17 and will continue to do so, reportedly till March 31. Most notably, the cash back offer of Rs 5,000 is applicable on bank credit cards and debit cards only.
The banks whose cards are being accepted, are Axis Bank, Citibank, HDFC Bank, HSBC, ICICI Bank, IndusInd Bank, Kotak, RBL Bank, SBI, Standard Chartered, UBI, and Yes Bank. Consumers should also know that the offer of Rs 5,000 cashback is not available for American Express debit cards. However, Apple has not issued any official statement about such offers on iPhones. Apple’s official online e-tail partners, Flipkart and Infibeam have also not posted any information about such an offer on their platform and have the previous pricing in the list.
Apple has been slicing down the prices of its iPhones continually for some time. Apple had announced the iPhone SE smartphone around the same time last year, but it came to India in early April. Apple iPhone SE is almost like the iPhone 6s in a 4-inch body, and some features missing. With the smaller and cheaper variant getting a further price cut, Apple must be expecting a huge market in India.
